A Crash Course in Prague
Moscow Anyone?

So the big news of the day is that I’m going to Moscow. Along with 24 other students. The took everyone who submitted an essay on time... which is pretty cool for my respect for deadlines.
Thanks Patricia.
And as you can all tell I found God’s gift to the earth. It only cost me 1250 crowns at a specialty wine, liquor, and cigar shop.
I feel happy now. Moscow and Grand Marnier.
So back to class. Today I had 3 classes. Media Criticism, Photography, and Czech Art and Architecture. And with all the readers I have for these classes, in addition to American Lit, I should have begun reading 6 months ago. See the pictures below of my readers...
Media Criticism is a class of 5. And I’m the only one who falls right of center. It’s going to be a class of heated debate. But fun none the less.
Photography is going to be fun. A large amount of work, but still fun. This weekend is my first chance to really break out my camera, as I’m traveling to northern Bohemia.
Czech Art and Architecture is going to teach me how to be a tour guide.
Well not exactly, but it certainly sounds that way, as the teacher is expecting us to know the streets of Prague inside, out, backwards, at night, during the day, drunk, sober, with glasses on, all the while explaining the history of every empire that effected this region since a millennium before the birth of Christ.
So a glorified tour guide.
A fun class none the less. After class I went out for some cake with Allison, Guy, Andrew, and Sam(antha). Chocolate is good as always.
This evening after dinner the guys went out for a run. I joined. Yes, that right, I went for a run.
Alex would have kicked my butt and been laughing the whole way.
We ran for about 1/2 an hour, of which I spent a solid 5 or 6 minutes speed walking. Pulse: 160 BPM. Didn’t stroke out, so I figure I’m okay. Perhaps they will drag me out every time they run. Maybe then I won’t get my butt kicked next time I go hiking with my father.
Tomorrow I have class at 6, but I have to go in to give my 1500 crown deposit for Russia. Then my expensive breakfast. And reading. Lots of reading.
And finally, for your viewing pleasure, the stack of stuff I have to read this semester... Plus another 3 readers, two thin, one thick, that I haven’t picked up yet.
And the thing that’s going to make all that reading bearable...
Enough said.
