A Crash Course in Prague
Long Week Anyone?

It feels like it should be Tuesday, next week by now. This week seems to be dragging on and on... Oh well. Such is life.
Today was class all day. Big surprise. I’m still bogged down in homework. Reading, reading, and more reading is the name of the game.
Mom sent me a package though. It had lipton soup, post-it notes and 4 Time magazines. Thank god for American journalism. I’m now almost all caught up on the news of the world... Almost.
I had the lipton soup and a grilled cheese for dinner. It reminded me of the “creature comforts” that home provides. It was a nice glimpse of what I will return to.
Yet I don’t miss home. I miss the ocean. I nearly had a spastic flip out in the Old Town today with all the tourists and the fact that I want to see the ocean so badly. I don’t know how people go about their lives landlocked. It’s something that will continue to confound me for a long time.
There’s something so... Real... That the ocean provides. It’s like there’s no end to the world. I feel trapped by the land here. Strange feeling. Very strange feeling.
I found time to download Heroes from iTunes. God that show keeps getting better and better. Sorry I’m missing the presidential debate tonight...
No I’m not. I’d be crazy to watch that stuff.
Anyways, the weather here has been up and down... Today was the first time that we had blue sky... at least in the normal sense of the word. Putting on blue colored glasses and looking up at clouds doesn’t qualify.
So I just wear the rose colored ones instead.
I also helped Dad setup a website... By controlling the computer screen back home via the internet. What an amazing tool... I was also able to help my friend Eric setup a media server on his computer, again by taking control of the computer, router, and everything in between...
It’s scary what you can do with the net. Next thing you know I’ll be able to empty the dishwasher at home from my computer in Prague.
Maybe not. But the theory is still applicable here. Some food for thought: how far is remote control going to go?
Obviously the photo at the top has nothing to do with Prague... But It’s where my mind is at right now. Hopefully I’ll find my inner peace with this landlocked nature...
