A Crash Course in Prague
Midterms? on Vacation?

Daylight savings time ended today in Europe... that was quite a way to wake up, not knowing which clocks were correct, which ones were wrong, and not knowing what the heck was going on...
Otherwise today began with my arts law midterm... I knew that I needed to have it done for this morning on Monday, however it was such a busy week recovering from Moscow that I didn’t begin writing until yesterday. Oh well. I still got it in on time, and did well.
After midterms Jess and I went shopping. She didn’t buy anything, but I purchased this awesome peacoat. It’s black, and made of wool... From a European designer. So cool.
We then took a trip to walk thru Vysehrad just after sunset. It was really beautiful to see the fog roll in over the city.
Dinner was at the Hotel Union. I’ve passed it several times on the tram. Jess and I were the only ones in the restaurant. I ordered the chef’s special, and the picture at the top is what arrived at our table.
It had 4 different dipping sauces, and 3 different kinds of meat... Pork, chicken, and beef. In addition it had mashed potatoes, rice, homemade potato chips, carrots, and roasted onions & peppers.
Wow. It was quite good.
Anyways we walked the mile home to work off dinner, and packed because we’re leaving for Rome tomorrow morning!
I’m very excited, except for the whole film and x-ray nightmare... I have three options:
Fight with security in what Czech I know and avoid running the film thru the x-ray.
Keep the film on my person and be searched after I set off the metal detectors.
Put the film in my x-ray safe film bag and try and explain what it is after they run the whole mess thru the scanner.
No option is particularly better than the other...
I’ll have pictures and stories when I return from Rome!
See everyone Thursday evening!
