It’s Snowing!

First snow in the Czech Republic!

So exciting. It’s 11 days late, because it usually arrives on St. Martin’s day, November 11th. St. Martin has long been said to, “arrive on a white horse” thus signaling the start of winter.

Well Mr. Martin missed his cue. But I’m not whining, because he still came.

Today I developed pictures for a while, Alexis came along to keep me company. It’s a good thing because before she arrived I was singing to myself...

After sufficiently getting covered in chemicals that seem to permeate everything, including your skin, we went out for some tea, before I had to head home. Dinner was the Czech version of Celeste pizza.

Tonight I’m working on some reading, and then going to bed because I’m going to be cooking for a while tomorrow. We have a potluck supper tomorrow evening in Jaurisova. Should be fun. I’m making Mom’s chicken, Dad’s potatoes, and the gravy that Mom always seems to add coffee to...

I’m going to conveniently leave out the coffee, or at least try to.

Anyways, I’m going to enjoy the snow falling through my skylight while I keep working.
