A Monday from...

Hell?

Oh was it a Monday. And tomorrow is another Monday. And then the next day, another Monday... And then the day after... Monday Squared.

I have four Monday’s this week and a Friday.

Where to start... Oh right. So I turned the “Auto Update” feature on my cellphone clock back on yesterday in hopes that T-Mobile CZ would get the time correct, at least by midnight. So my clock read an hour behind, which isn’t a real problem...

Unless you have an alarm set for 7:45 so you can make the group photo on the other side of Prague at 9am... So the alarm goes off at 7:45 according to the phone. 8:45 according to the world. So when Jack commented that it was late, I freaked out. I called Lenka to ask what was going on... She told me that everyone else was on their way there.

So I did the only logical thing I could do. I called for a cab, jumped in the shower, and flew off to the other side of Prague, only missing the first couple of shots... he took several more after I arrived so I have a fairly good chance of being in the picture.

Which I would have been VERY sad if I wasn’t. I’ve been looking forward to it since we arrived here.

Anyways after the photo, which went well considering I arrived late, a few of us went out for breakfast. I had “the Charles IV Stack” which is: two pancakes, two sausage, two eggs, a mini bagel, and 3 slices of bacon.

And with some help from Lenka I was able to finish almost all of it...

And then I went to the darkroom. From 11am to 6pm.

Without a break. I printed 5 photos, developed 4 rolls of film, and have all my contact sheets. So I’m in good shape considering the photography exhibit that I thought was next Thursday is actually on the fourth Monday of this week.

At 6 I went to class.

And then starving, I waked to the Old Town Christmas markets and grabbed a hot dog. I ordered in Czech, she confirmed in English, I confirmed in Czech. I paid and thanked her in Czech, she totaled and thanked me in English...

Funny how even when I’m speaking their language to a level of understanding on their behalf, they still respond in English.

Oh well!

Anyways, big second Monday tomorrow. Off to hit the hay. The photo at the top is of the guy who walks around and turns on all the gas lamps at night in Old Town... Pretty cool.
