A Crash Course in Prague
The 208 Step Snafu...

So today’s class of Art and Architecture we were supposed to meet for class by the stone obelisk outside the Prague Castle.
I walked up the 208 steps to the castle... and waited... for an hour at what I had determined to be the obelisk... Wrong obelisk. Evidently my perception of stone is off too... Because the professor actually said to meet by the stone obelisk outside the Prague Cathedral... not Castle.
And it looks like marble being a polished stone obelisk.
Anyways, I walked back down the 208 steps, in my wing-tips... Without any additional educational information...
I went to the Citibank in the Old Town and discovered that they give small bills! Wahoo! It’s tough to find change in this country, so when you do, it’s a Godsend.
I had another one of those great sausages for lunch in Wenceslas Square for lunch... This time I managed to avoid getting the ketchup on my pant leg.
In Media Criticism we watched the rest of “Being There.” Nemec was right... It’s a good movie.
Now back to the nightmare called Visa. No not the credit card... The Russian or Czech kind of Visa. There exists a question on the application, “List all profession, civil and charity organizations which you are (were) a member of, or contribute (contributed) to, work (worked) with”
Well I’m a life member of the NRA...
Hmm. Hopefully the Boy Scouts of America will offset that mess.
The follow up question is, “do you have any specialized skills, training, or experience related to fire-arms and explosives or to nuclear, biological or chemical activities.”
Hmm.
We’ll see about the visa thing... So on my way home from school today there was a girl on the tram. On her backpack was a small beaver keychain... as in the animal. On top of the beaver was a ladybug keychain... So it looked like the beaver had wings...
This in conjunction with the old women fighting for the seats on the tram made me want to burst out laughing... on a tram that you could hear a pin drop.
I wanted, more than anything, to pull a “Naked Gun” and say “Nice beaver.” And hope in reply I would receive, “Thanks I just had it stuffed.”
I don’t think that would have gone over well...
If you don’t know what what I’m talking about...

Enjoy.
Anyways. Our building is now infected with scabies. Yes scabies. I feel like dousing myself in gas and lighting myself on fire... Slightly extreme perhaps. But we are fumigating the place by Friday so as to avoid further spread.
I don’t have scabies. Not yet at least.
On the plus side of things last weeks “House” is on iTunes, and I was able to watch that today. I can’t wait for the season premier of “Heroes” to appear... and the “Big Bang Theory.” For those of you who know me, and know the show, you understand.
Finally tonight I was able to video chat with Stephanie. It was nice to see her. I really love this whole video chat thing. Tomorrow I have a day filled with... not much...
One class and homework. But I get to see the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra tomorrow night... And they are preforming all the Russian composers. Exciting...
Considering I’m going to get denied my visa to Russia...
