What Happened to the Internet?

I suppose I should start how my day ended.

I got home and the network was down... thus I have no internet connection... thus if your reading this Tuesday evening instead of Monday evening, this is why.

Thus everyone in the building is upset... except me. I’m happy for the reprieve from the emails... and I get to remain blissfully ignorant of the impending implosion of the American economy.

Anyways... Back to the beginning. I woke up feeling like death again. I didn’t fall asleep until nearly 3am, and woke around 9:45ish. But my neck didn’t hurt! Thank god. The pillow is a success.

I started the colored wash around 11:30ish and finished the around 2. Whites on Saturday... Coloreds on Monday. Seems to work pretty well...

I had no food in the apartment so I ran out to the supermarket and picked up the usual culprits: cookies, chips, pretzels, bread, peanut butter, jelly, apple juice, and most importantly, tea. After yesterday’s Lady Grey courtesy of Veronika I found some of my own... On the top shelf of the tea isle. I also picked up a 50 cent tea ball... Now all I need is a 50 cent tea pot.

I’ll work on that.

Today’s highlight was being able to video chat with my class back home. We were having a debate on pornography and wether or not it violates the civil rights of women. I’ll spare everybody the details, but it was fun to get to see and talk with the class. Just as we were finishing the network here died... I figured it was a temporary outage...

Temporary as in fixed tomorrow...

I then scurried off to drop my film for processing, and head off to my English class to discuss “As I Lay Dying.” Wahoo.

That was sarcasm.

Before class I had a second to check my mailbox. To my delight there was a package and a letter. Stephanie sent me a hand knit scarf, that thank god she declared as under $30 USD because otherwise there is a 30% customs tax...

It’s beautiful, and pictured at the top.

I also received a note from my Uncle Monsignor. God bless.

Tomorrow is a busy busy day. Aside from the classes, I have to take care of the accommodations for the family... I found an apartment that we can rent in December so we don’t have to sleep on the park benches in the Old Town. Bank, post office, and email are also items on the to-do-list.

Oh yeah... Get the network back up and running too... Hopefully they can figure it out, otherwise I’m going to have to revert to my technical skills and grab a hammer...

Dad always taught me, “when in doubt, get a bigger hammer.”

Words to live by.
