A Crash Course in Prague
A Not So Wasted Saturday
Well... not entirely wasted. I spent a fair portion of the day doing almost nothing. I did help the network technician figure out was is wrong with the network in this building though. The man spoke very little English, but luckily all the important network terms are the same in English and Czech... ie: DNS, IP, traceroute, ping...
And I just realized that none of you understand what I’m talking about...
Anyways. Because it was Saturday he had his young son with him, young as in 1 or 2. He was very pouty, until I gave him some Zoo Biscuits.
Even in the Czech Republic they like animal crackers. Damn the world is a perfect place sometimes.
Anyways tonight I saw Bach’s Mass in B minor with Alexis. It was quite the show. I was hoping for a larger orchestra and chorus, but the one that was performing did an excellent job. They did need a small amount of work on their unvoiced consonants, like “K”, “S”, and “T”. Unifying these consonants among the chorus makes for a cleaner sound, but it was by no means awful.
We had cake and wine at a restaurant called KOGO in the Old Town. It’s off the square so it’s cheaper than eating right in the square, and just as good, if not better food.
And that’s that. Tomorrow I have to recover my white tee-shirts that mysteriously disappeared from the dryer today... Thats a story for another time, like when I have the answers.
And it’s also Sunday, so time to go back to the store and get food for the week...
I don’t feel like starving.
