A Crash Course in Prague
Finally Thursday
It’s been a week of recovering.
Recovering from Moscow.
Recovering from Midterms.
Recovering for next week’s break.
As I type this my friend Jessica is on a plane on her way to Prague. I’m so excited to see her. The only bad part is that I have to get up at 5am to go collect her from the airport. But she’s the best, so I don’t mind at all.
Today we took a tour of a mansion in Mala Strana. There was a peacock roaming the grounds. I have it on film, and will share when I get the pictures developed.
After my classes I went to Tesco to pick up a few items, namely laundry detergent. I went off to a metro station to pick Jess up some tram passes. I was able to conduct the entire transaction in Czech. I was quite proud of myself.
Dinner tonight was breakfast: bacon, hard boiled eggs, and toast. I also watched this week’s episode of House on iTunes. So good.
Tomorrow I’m touring the city, and going grocery shopping. I’m also going to keep working on getting our train tickets for next week between Rome and Florence. For some reason they don’t make it easy. Who know why that is.
Anyways, it’s off to bed. I have to set double alarm madness for tomorrow so I ensure that I wake up in time to get in the car to meet Jess at the airport!
