A Crash Course in Prague
Jess’ Departure

Sadly Jessica had to leave today. I took her to the airport bright and early, made sure she got checked in okay and then headed home.
It was so nice to have a friend come and visit me. A taste of home halfway thru this program.
Otherwise, I worked on homework for most of the day, except I had a physical therapy session at 5pm on the other side of Prague. I made the excursion with a book for class in hand.
After Thomas (my physical therapist) sufficiently broke my back, I headed to the Old Town. I had to pick up my photos of Rome, buy more film (because I’ve used almost all of it) and then grab some dinner.
4000 crowns on film and development later, I had dinner downstairs. I love the pork in this country.
And I realized it’s Halloween! How strange. I saw a couple of American students walking down the street in costumes. Otherwise few people dressed up... and nobody rang my doorbell asking for candy.
I still bought some chocolate and ate it so as not to allow the holiday to pass un-marked.
To take it easy I watched a movie from iTunes, “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.” It was cute. And mindless.
I talked to Lenka for a little while tonight as well... and then while stretching my back on the floor, accidentally fell asleep on the tile. I was only down for 10 minutes or so, but still, I must have been pretty tired to fall asleep on tile... Hm.
Must be bed time...
Side note: the picture at the top is from Vysehrad... It’s a sunset I photographed the other day while on a walk.
