A Crash Course in Prague
I’m Alive Again

And breathing too. I got 11 solid hours of sleep last night, making up for the complete lack of sleep over the past week.
Today the family and I went to the castle, and believe it or not, I went into St. Vitus Cathedral for the FIRST time since arriving in Prague.
Crossed that off the list.
We headed down off the hill into the town to grab lunch and do some light shopping, pick up some groceries, and then head to the apartment.
I had made dinner reservations earlier in the day for the nicest restaurant in Prague, Kampa Park.
And it fulfilled all my expectations... And so many more. I’m so glad that I didn’t eat there earlier in my stay as I would have likely gone back... And the prices, as you might imagine, are incredible. To say the least. But the coolest thing was these light bulbs with feathers (pictured at top) that were fluttering off the walls. This is certainly one of the coolest interior decoration ideas I’ve seen here yet.
Anyways, I wanted to make sure I gave my brother a proper club experience in Prague, so after dinner, and hanging out around the apartment, Alex and I headed off to Karlový Lázně, a huge music club just over the Charles Bridge. We had a good time, including me taking enough time to burn the back of my throat with hot gasses from the Absinthe.
We left, and headed to a typical Czech hangout, Chapeau Rouge. I would expand on Chapeau, but there are no real words to describe Chapeau... I can think of a few that get close... crazy, gritty, underground... but none truly capture the essence of what Chapeau actually is.
It was strange to be at the Microcosm hangout without the Microcosm. So around 3:00 Alex and I called it quits. I crashed sometime around 3:30... Partially deaf from the music, with my throat on fire.
Now if that’s not the sign of a good night, I don’t know what is...
