A Crash Course in Prague
My Last Sunday in Prague
I was able to rise at a reasonable hour today, 11ish... and lead the family off to Náméstí Míru to do some shopping at the markets, while I went to have tea with Veronika.
It was sad and strange to be in an empty building. But I know I’ll be back soon. I just know.
Tea and lunch was a nice chance to say goodbye to Veronika, at least for now, as she is going home to Slovakia for Christmas tomorrow. Yet, I’ll see her when I return in the spring.
I left, with Veronika to go back to collect my family and take them back to Malá Strana, where I managed to fall asleep on the heated tile floor in the hallway for a 45 minute nap.
We went to Ambiente Pasta Fresco for dinner, a great Italian restaurant, with a Czech flare (if there ever were such a thing).
On our way home we saw the COOLEST thing I think I’ve seen in the Old Town Square yet: a flat bed truck, with a huge set of bells attached to piano like keys, with someone playing it. It was like a bell choir with only one person... But it was SO awesome. I’ll hopefully post a video when I get a chance (and the internet connection is more reliable)
And then it was home to finish a video (long story, but I was re-cutting the video I edited a few weeks ago), type the last seven days of days of blog updates, and take it easy.
Tomorrow is a busy day... But I’ll explain after the fact.
